JEFFERSON COUNTY JOB DEVELOPMENT AWARDS ...

It is time once again for JCJDC to recognize the County’s entrepreneurial activities as well as those individuals who have been successful in meeting the challenges of starting up a new business. As JCJDC members we are asking your assistance in soliciting nominations for Jefferson County Job Development Corporation’s Business of Excellence Award and the New Business Venture Award. Each winner will be awarded $1000.

Jefferson County Job Development Corporation’s Business of Excellence Award
The purpose of this $1,000 award is to recognize a Jefferson County business that has
experienced growth in markets and sales as a result of introducing new or improved products or services, utilizing innovative technologies.

Eligibility: Nominations are open to Jefferson County businesses that have expanded opportunities by developing new or improved products or services as a result of employing cutting edge innovations/technologies.

Deadline: The deadline for entries has passed (December 9, 2009). The Business of Excellence Award winner will be announced at the JCJDC Annual Membership Meeting to be held in late January 2010.

Jefferson County Job Development Corporation’s New Business Venture Award
The purpose of this $1,000 award is to recognize a new business created and located in
Jefferson County that has experienced growth in employment and sales.

Eligibility: Nominations are open to companies established and located in Jefferson County who have been operating for at least two years but not more than four years and can show by specific examples that their business plan is being implemented and effective in the growth of their business.

Deadline: The deadline for entries has passed (December 9, 2009). The Business of Excellence Award winner will be announced at the JCJDC Annual Membership Meeting to be held in late January 2010.
